The spring weather was cool and wet. The apple and
pear trees are still doing well but there will be no
peaches this year. So far summer has been a
combination of stormy, very hot days followed by
unseasonably cool weather.

We have planted an additional 39 apple trees, now
have five bee hives and have tasted our first batches
of mead! We look forward to sampling our apple
cider very soon. We are also enjoying our first
harvest of wild black raspberries, rhubarb, sweet
peas and squash.

We have contacted a local CSA and are looking to
provide them with some of our apples and pears this
harvest season. There are several restaurants that
are interested in purchasing our honey once it
becomes available. Things seem to be moving right
along.
